Where are you from?
How do you spend your time?
I spend a majority of my time writing and performing music. I work as a personal assistant. I hang out. I chill. I date men.
What’s your story?
I grew up in Indiana, moved to Chicago after college to pursue my dreams of being a pop star. I've lived here for 10 years.
What’s your feminist story?
I don't really remember. I was always drawn to the 60s anti war aesthetic when I was a kid and in that saw the bra burning that happened. I was into that. I also glorified the idea of the sexually liberated, heartbreaking woman starting at a young age. Is that feminist? By the time I was in college I definitely identified as feminist, started learning more about what feminism really was.
What is feminism?
Feminism is a move towards humanism. We are all in this together. Glorify women as much as we glorify and cater to men.
What does "Feminist as Fuck" mean?
It means that to my core - fuck others opinions, fuck their expectations, fuck what's easy — I am feminist. I know that feminism is what is best for the world's better tomorrow.
What feminist topics are most important to you?
It's important to me that every woman, no matter how she dresses or acts, is respected both in her personal and professional life. Equality. Freedom. Inclusivity — all women of all races and social groups need feminism and everyone needs to listen to oppressed women's voices and lift them up. Learn from each other how to best support each other.
