Where are you from?
Originally from Iowa, have now lived in Chicago for 6 years.
How do you spend your time?
I love adventuring around the city with my dog and husband.
What’s your story?
I just started a new career as a women's health nurse practitioner with Planned Parenthood. Prior to finishing grad school, I was working as a registered nurse for over 8 years.
What’s your feminist story?
My feminism has largely stemmed from my interest in women’s health and reproductive justice. I have always believed women and men deserve a comprehensive sexual education as well as unburdened access to healthcare. The obstacles women have to overcome to obtain safe and high quality healthcare are completely unnecessary, and the constant war over women’s bodies is appalling. Women who cannot control when, if, and how they conceive cannot fully participate as equal citizens in society. Reproductive freedom is central to feminism, and I will forever be an outspoken advocate in this arena.
What is feminism?
True and complete equality of all sexes.
What does "Feminist as Fuck" mean?
Having passion and conviction in your belief in feminism and not apologizing for it.
What feminist topics are most important to you?
Reproductive justice (abortion and contraception access)
