Where are you from?
Sao Paulo, Brazil
How do you like to spend your time?
With dear friends, with myself, around nature, art and music.
What’s your story?
I was born in Brazil. I grew up there, but always felt somewhat disconnected, until I came to the States when I was 27. This country—and the wonderful artistic community in Chicago—has completely changed my life. I’m very thankful to my hubbie, who I started dating right after I arrived. He brought me most of what I hold dear, including my newborn baby.
I have also found a lot of meaning in photographing stylish people I see in the streets. I have a streetstyle column in two of the Chicago’s weeklies called Chicago Looks.
What is feminism to you?
Feminism is celebrating the important role women have, and fighting to allow women to have any role they want.
What does "Feminist as Fuck" mean to you?
It means that I join my fellow women in the celebration of what we are. It means I'm proud and happy to be a woman.
What feminist topics are most important to you?
Salary equality, same job opportunities (respecting maternity leave and other motherhood requirements), and respect for women in societies that oppress them.
