Where are you from?
Originally Chicago, currently Austin for 6 years.
How do you spend your time?
Running my Pussy Empire aka Sassy Miss Waxy, swimming, pole dancing, cruising the city on my scooter and connecting with bad ass motherfuckers on how we can impact the planet in a more positive way.
What’s your story?
I was born as Sara Robinson to a middle class Jewish family in the northwest burbs of Chicago. My dad passed away when I was 9 yrs old and it dramatically shifted my world. It changed how I would interact with males, and my connection to loving myself. I neglected feeling emotions until it all erupted when I was 19. At that point I call it being reborn. I was never the same again. I came close to death and a part of myself died, this experience of suicidal depression gave me a new life. I was no longer going to be afraid of living fully. This awakening prompted me to change my name, go to esthetics school and move to Chicago. I worked at a wax boutique, called Trim, and gave thousands of women and men brazilians. The hair removal industry allowed me to work one on one with incredible humans, while integrating my healing magic and be myself all at once. This confidence boost prompted me to become an entrepreneur and slay it. My partner at the time whisked me away to Austin, Texas and the rest in herstory! Sassy Miss Waxy was born and has been in business for 5.5 years.
What’s your feminist story?
I grew up in a house of women. Widowed single mom raising 2 daughters, while working 2 jobs and still attending all of our sports and school functions was a great example of a strong solid female! My sister was my second mom and she held down the fort. Her influence was insurmountable: confident, funny, intelligent and full of wisdom. I had outstanding women role models and lots of female bonds. I have always been connected to my feminine side, never a doubt, loud, proud and ready to pounce. I knew that I was made of magic and wanted to mirror that in other people. Bring it back to love.
What is feminism?
Feminism is our bones. It is coursing through each and every one of us. It holds us deeply and sees us fully. To evolve into our happiest most fully expressed selves, we need to balance our feminine and masculine, honoring both sides because we would not have one without the other. It is a Women’s World now and what a turn on that is: we have earned it, hustled for it, bled for it, died for it. We are it.
What does "Feminist as Fuck" mean?
Feminist as Fuck- We are ready, vulnerable and naked. Eyes open wide. No longer holding back. Fear is not real, only if you allow it, quit allowing it and know what gifts you have to offer.
What feminist topics are most important to you?
Empowering our men to honor their feminine side and embrace their emotions/strengths/tears. Period menstruation consciousness, abortion destigmatization, vaginal weight lifting, body positivity, loving oneself, sacred sexual practices, stripping at my friends pop-up diy strip club called, Every Body, and getting people involved in that cause. Curating and hosting the first Vajayjay Day in Austin this August!
