Where are you from?
Lived in Hammond Indiana for 21 years.
I have lived in Chicago for almost 3.
How do you spend your time?
Most of the time I try to spend my time connecting with friends and Family. If not that, i am playing or listening to music or making a mess WITH PAINT.
What's your story?
I lived in Hammond most of my life, so Chicago was always my home next door. I finally graduated with a BA in fine arts in 2013 and was lucky enough to eventually land a job at in the city. Just a grateful guy that’s been given opportunities people dream about and fortunate enough to have made friends that are going to last a lifetime.
What's your feminist story?
I have to say the reason why I know I am a feminist is because of the way I was raised. I was raised 98% by my mother, and with as much tenderness and love as any mother could ever give. She taught me the right way you treat people. The other person on my life was my mom’s youngest sister, my Aunt Mona. I don’t get to see her very often because of how far she lives, but when I do, we start right where we left off. These women in my life have given me my strength and continue to give me my confidence. I don’t think I realized how much influence they have had on me until I moved away. After a few years in the city, (3) girlfriends, and (6) apartments later I know I know I’m a feminist.
What is feminism?
Feminism is the belief that all women and all men should be treated equal in all ways of life.
What does "feminist as fuck" mean?
Feminist as Fuck either means "fuck yeah" or fuck you" depending how people feel about it. I think it’s really telling people to live there life the way they see it as long it’s with love and respect for everyone.
What feminist topics are most important to you?
There are social aspects of life for women that have always bothered me such as sex and relationships. A man that sleeps around a lot is just a man, but if a women sleeps around a lot she is a slut. When a man cheats he is just a man, all men cheat, but when a woman cheats, she’s a slut or worse. I hate when women are automatically undermined with having PMS when they seem stressed or bothered. I know a lot of dudes that get a bit moody more than twice than a month, including myself, and nobody says anything, or there feelings are treated more seriously.
